"Name, Rank, and Serial Number"

I've recently filled out some job applications (6, to be exact). =D I've turned them all in this past week too. Hopefully they'll respond back soon. It took me a while to get them all filled out, as they were all indiviually different. Some wanted my opinion and others just your basic info. They wanted to know my address, educational history, work/volunteer history, where I've lived in the past 10 years, if I had a criminal record or anything. Thank you to everyone who let me have them as references!

Christy and Annie are getting better from their colds! Yay! Josh, Wesley, and I didn't get sick this time either, so that's nice too.

Yesterday was Josh's birthday! =D Christy made a cheesecake for him, as well as a nice roast chicken dinner with all the fixin's. So tasty! Katie came over and we all had good fun. We gave Josh some headphones, a Starbuck's coffee container, and a gift card to GameStop.

Katie's going camping this weekend with her students and they're going to Oklahoma. They'll stay for 2 nights, then rest on Monday. Can't wait to see pictures!

Well I think I'll sign off for now, seeing as that's all I can think to post about. Till next time!

Life Means So Much

Why do we all do what we do at GFA and reaching out to others? Here's why. =) This song is from Chris Rice.

Every day is a journal page
Every man holds a quill and ink
And there's plenty of room for writing in
All we do is believe and think
So will you compose a curse
Or will today bring the blessing
Fill the page with rhyming verse
Or some random sketching

Chorus:
Teach us to count the days
Teach us to make the days count
Lead us in better ways
That somehow our souls forgot
Life means so much

Every day is a bank account
And time is our currency
So nobody's rich, nobody's poor
We get 24 hours each
So how are you gonna spend
Will you invest, or squander
Try to get ahead
Or help someone who's under

Has anybody ever lived who knew the value of a life
And don't you think giving is all
What proves the worth of yours and mine

Every day is a gift you've been given
Make the most of the time every minute you're living
