Mark This Day.

We now have socialized medicine in the United States.

United huh? We're split right down the middle. What happened to the will of the people? Maybe those two States (can't remember which ones) will sue the government like they promised if this passed! THAT's showing the will people right there! The government has just turned it's ear away from us.

Like Tim Hawkins said:

Who can take your money?
With a twinkle in their eye?
Take it all away and
Give it to some other guy

The Government
The Government can

Who can tax the Sun rise?
Who can tax the trees?
Let you run a business and
Collect up all the fees

The Government can 'cause
They mix it up with lies and
Make it all taste good!

The Government takes
Everything we make
To pay for all of their "sollutions"
Healthcare, Climate Change, Pollution
(Throw away the Constitution)

Who can give a bailout?
Tell us to behave?
Make the Founding Fathers
Roll over in their graves

The Government takes
Everything we make
They're power hungry
And malicious

The economics are fictitious
Soon we'll have to eat our dishes
Mmm! Delicious!

Who can be a failure?
In so many ways?
Instead of getting fired, HEY!
We'll give ourselves a raise!

The Government can 'cause
He mix it up with lies and
Make it all taste good!
And your Uncle Sam can 'cause
He mixes it with lies and
Makes it all taste good!

And I feel so good
Because the Government
Says I should

Puffs Plus and Me

Yep, that's right, Puffs Plus. =D I've been getting over a cold, and thankfully Puffs Plus is there to save my nose! I think after today I'll be continually be getting better.

I've not been doing a whole lot lately, but I've been really enjoying time with Annie lots. All of us have also been finishing up the baby's room, painting it blue with white trim. So nice! It makes the room really bright and that's good.

Well ta ta for now, til next time, etc. =D

America Is Like An Old Chair

"...You have to decide, is it worth saving? You have to assess the damage. Is it even possible to repair?..."

So I came across this article by Glenn Beck, who has his own show on Fox TV. I'll give you a morsel of what he said, and I encourage you to read the whole thing. =)

"My grandfather wasn't a wealthy man. He didn't have much in the way of material things. So when he died, there wasn't a whole lot of stuff for the family to decide who gets this or that. But there was one thing I did ask for: a chair. He used to tell us stories in that chair. The chair was falling apart. My wife just had it completely refurbished. How much was it? I don't know and I don't want to know — probably cost much more than the chair was ever worth. You have to decide, is it worth saving? You have to assess the damage. Is it even possible to repair? You have to repair the major structural flaws; strip the layers of paint that covered up its natural beauty — seal it, protect it and restore its natural finish. That chair is America. It's getting old; it's been around. A lot of people have tried this chair out; a lot of people have painted over it, altered it, banged it up a little bit. And it's become pretty weak and wobbly. So what do we do? We have to decide: Is America worth saving? Do we want to go back to the founding principles of the country?..."

Have you ever..

"Scooped" your driveway of snow with a small plastic dust pan?! =D Well I just did. I guess it was the endorphins from exercise earlier in the day speaking, so i had the insanity to do it. Hey! I've been needing the exercise, and it's good cardio. =D No doubt might right arm and legs will kill me in the morning tomorrow, or most likely on Wednesday, but crazy people like me don't mind. It's good pain. Today was the first real winter storm we've had all season (three months late of course) and thus the need to do the drive way. What can I say? The snow shovel is in the van at the office, and I didn't want Dad to come home late this evening (as planned) and have to do the drive way. I also like to be out in the snow while is snowing. Yep, you can officially say I'm insane. =D And lovin' it!

Hm, now I'm hungry... Snack anyone?!

What I'm doing =)

Right now I'm sitting on my lovely couch in the living room and am greatly enjoying the use of Mom's laptop. (Love laptops!) A few minutes a go we finished an episode of that famous (or infamous, however you like) show Lost. It's the final season! How could you not keep up with it?! Hehe. Yeah, roll you're eyes if you like. =P (Oh look, here's Patick, with an idea he's explaining to me). So, now what to do... What to write? Hm, maybe I'll get some hot cocoa. Sounds good to me! =D After all, the teperature in the room as I've been sitting here been slightly declining it seems. I'm very happy that tomorrow is Saturday! Although today, after some painting, started to feel like a Thursday, possibly because I usually do my painting on the week days. It's almost finished! It's a painting of an English country cottage I made for Mom. Just a few more bushes to go and I'll be done! =D I'll post a picture of it as soon as I can.

A few days ago I started reading some Sherlock Holmes again. The Hound of Baskerville Halls. It's probably one of my favorite cases. =) The writing of Conan Doyle is superb! No movie will compare! (Okay, stop raving =P ) Hehe. Reading in the late evening is a nice change for a while. There is another book I've just about finished too, it's called The Problem Of Evil by Charles Colson and Nancy Pearcy (who also co-authored The Universe Next Door). It explains how our western world has become what it is through people who created certain beliefs, ways of government, our ethics of today, scientific beliefs and influences, and other such things. It's basicly a book on several worldviews, but it's explained in a way relivent and comprehendable to the general reader, instead of just stating it and then explaining the general idea of what it is. So if you're interested in it (and in understanding people around you), I highly recommend this book. It's a must have. =)

So there you have a glimpse into how my brain runs in the evening. =) (You never knew the random thoughts I get did you?! I hope you enjoyed!)

Now for the cup of hot cocoa!

?

I know you're wondering "Why hasn't Jessica posted in a while?". Well, truth be told I haven't had internet access on my Mac for connection reasons, but the other thing is I haven't had any good ideas. Hehe, yes even a creative person becomes uninspired. =) Things I guess have been rather uneventful for the past month, at least for me. Hehe. I'm glad to say that it's snowing right now! Although for you Texans reading, you have more snow to be proud of than we do. I'm jealous! (In a good way though ;))I can't wait to go down and see all you peeps, my faithful readers! =D I'm so excited to help Christy and Josh out for a while, and seeing Katie and my Grandparents. It'll be so fun! Well till next post, you all have a fun Valentines Day weekend and enjoy some lovely chocolate from Lindor too.

Cheers!

Happy New Year!

Happy 2010 everyone! =D I hope you all had fun ringing in the new year!

Hehe, the point was made that "We're in Sci-fi years now!". All of the dates from here on out will sound like something from a science fiction book or movie, as they've always had year two thousand dates, for example "2053". Fun fun!
